SEMS (Description)

The approach of the SEMS is to monitor energy consumption giving the user a higher degree of clarity and understanding of their power usage. Based on the information provided by the SEMS,(users are provided with the scope to drastically consume power usage going forward by not only providing a cost benefit to the organization but also meeting regulatory and compliance obligations)?

  • The system consists of a hardware kit, interfacing with smart energy meter with Mod-bus interface.
  • The heart of the system is controller that is built on smart & latestMicro Processor Technology with storage data.
  • Data from the meter is sent over the GSM/Wi-Fi/Ethernetnetwork using the in-built controller.
  • In absence of network connectivity data is continuously buffered at internal storage of controller.
  • This buffered data is sent to the cloud server as soon as the connectivity is restored thus making the kit robust for operations in areas with poor GSM mobile network connectivity as well (ensuring zero data loss).
  • The data from SEMS hardware reaches to the web server at an interval of every 60 sec.
  • The controller kit has default memory of 5GBwhich allows for local buffering of data for times with no internet connectivity or for any communication failure event that can occur between a controller and cloud server.
  • Access to collected data is provided on real timethrough a web based platform. Data from all monitoring points can be viewed anywhere i.e. from company Head office thro’ World Wide Web (www)) through any internet connected devices such as PC/Tablet/Smart phone.
